Just like we did the day before, we managed to finish the Foundation Tier on the Nchomekah side as well. Two tiers down, five to go!
After building a similar foundation platform like they did on the other side, the Masonry Team started on the walls of the Foundation Tier.
Walls are done! Time to fill.
With my method figured out, I lead a team of Mozambicans in filling this tier. We used a lot less sand on this side and upped the amount of gravel in hopes that the gravel would serve as a stronger space filler for the voids between the large rocks.
With the filling done, the Masonry Team began to cap the box
Smoothing out the surface and finishing the cap.
Finished product.
Two down, five to go.
